The Clinical Research Center of the Anesthesiology Department at FMUSP, located on the 9th floor of the Prédio dos Ambulatórios, has its structure built for the development of concurrent researches, and a team prepared for the development of national and international research projects, with infrastructure for monitoring clinical research at the Heart Institute and the Central Institute of the Hospital das Clinicas, FMUSP.
Surgical Centers and Intensive Care Units
This Graduate Program is housed in an institution involved in intense care activities, where around 40,000 surgical or diagnostic procedures and treatments under anesthesia are held annually, with the possibility of major expansion in clinical research. Among surgical patients requiring postoperative intensive care, the Department of Anesthesiology coordinates 4 intensive care units (post cardiac surgery, post general surgery, post trauma, and post-surgical oncology), which are also part of the infrastructure for conducting clinical research.
