The headquarters of the Graduate Program is the office of the Discipline of Anesthesiology of FMUSP. Anesthesiology-USP has a Graduate Department that manages the Program. Teachers and students of the Program have technical-administrative support, described below, for the development of the research projects and classes of the disciplines.

Human resources:

  • Statistics: 1 professional (Júlia Fukushima) linked to Anesthesiology at the Cancer Institute of the State of São Paulo participating in scientific articles and 1 independent consultant (Rogério Ruscitto do Prado), who provides services remunerated by CEDAR.
  • Research nurses: one nurse coordinating the activities of the Clinical Research Center (Dr. Suely Pereira Zeferino, attached to the Anesthesia Division of the Heart Institute), a nurse specialist in clinical research (Carla Ghezzi), who works at the Central Institute of the Hospital das Clínicas of FMUSP, and another nurse (Lygia Cristina Câmara Cunha), who collaborates with teachers and students in the operationalization of clinical research.
  • Pharmacists: with temporary linkage according to the specific need of each research project.
  • Veterinarian: responsible for the management of research projects at LIM-08, Dr. Denise Aya Otsuki.
  • Administrative staff: 1 administrative coordinator (Claudia Alexandria Pereira), trained in librarianship and two administrative officers (Arlen Clayton Cirino dos Santos and Sandra Marques), responsible for the administrative activities of the graduate Program, as well as the management of research projects Program with the Ethics Committees in Research and Development Agencies.
  • Technical staff: 1 Laboratory Technician (Gilberto de Mello Nascimento) and 1 Biologist (Débora Rothestein Ramos Maia), both working at LIM-08.

Clinical Research Management Center: The Center for Management of Clinical Research of Anesthesiology-USP has a more significant role in the Heart Institute, Cancer Institute and Central Institute of the Hospital das Clínicas of the Medical School of the University of São Paulo, each place with a physical area And specific employees. This Research Center supports the academic projects and / or linked to the Graduate Program, as well as the development of research for the Pharmaceutical and Equipment Industry. The center has meeting rooms, meeting rooms for documents and a room for researchers, all with computer infrastructure and internet. In addition, it has refrigerators for storing medications under study, with specific control of receipt, storage and dispensing of samples related to clinical research. The research center is integrated with multiple institutional clinical specialties, which enables it in the multidisciplinary care and medical assistance to the possible adverse events of the therapy used in the treatment of its research subjects.

Professors’ office: teachers have rooms and / or places suitable for the development of research projects and orientation of their students.

Classrooms and rooms for students: The Anesthesiology-USP didactic space is located on the 8th floor of the Ambulatory Building at the Hospital das Clínicas of FMUSP, with a classroom, meeting room, study space and library with appropriate IT resources.
